May Allah swt protect Imam Siraj Wahhaj (ameen) Assalamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh For his lifelong commitment to working in the path of Allah Most High, Imam Siraj Wahhaj is being recognized by national organizations such as Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), Muslim Alliance in North America (MANA), Muslim American Society (MAS), and Muslim Students Association of the US and Canada (MSA National) among others. All of us are witnesses to Imam Siraj's unending dedication to the betterment of the Muslim community and society at large. It is very likely you have heard Imam Siraj: 1) give a lecture at a conference 2) give a khutbah at your masjid 3) give a khutbah on your campus 4) give a lecture on your campus 5) fundraise for your masjid 6) fundraise for your Islamic school 7) fundraise for relief work 8) fundraise for other national Muslim organizations 9) on a tape, giving a lecture at a conference 10) on a tape, giving a khutbah at Masjid At-Taqwa (where he is Imam) BUT, it is very unlikely that you have ever heard Imam Siraj ask YOU for any help with the masjid where he is the Imam. That is the self-sacrificing attitude that both he AND his community have modeled for us throughout the years. Today, we are calling upon you, the individual Muslim student, to join MSA National in making this tribute to Imam Siraj a huge success insha'allah. Here are a few things you can do to help: 1) Make du'a to Allah to protect Imam Siraj and to continue to strengthen his iman. 2) BUY a ticket (online) for the event on August 15, 2003 in Brooklyn New York. 3) DONATE (online) towards the expenses of the event even if you cannot attend.
